What happened

At least 72 workers were killed in airstrikes on a gold mine on the Sudan-Egypt border on Saturday, a Sudanese rights group said on Sunday. The Emergency Lawyers organisation accused Egypt’s air force of the attack. AFP could not independently verify the account and Egypt has issued no official comment.
