Kyle Teel is back with the Chicago White Sox after missing most of the season because of injuries. Teel was activated from the 10-day injured list on Friday and fellow catcher Drew Romo was optioned to Triple-A Charlotte. Teel, a first-round pick in the 2023 amateur draft, was acquired by Chicago when it traded Garrett Crochet to Boston in December 2024.
